Luke Perry hasn't been that visible on TV these days but that doesn't mean that the former Beverly Hills 90210 actor is no longer active in the silver screen. In fact, he has several movies that are slated to air this year, including the western flick Angel and the Badman, the action-horror film Final Storm and Sam Steele and the Junior Detective Agency, which he is currently filming.

Written and directed by Tom Whitus, Sam Steele and the Junior Detective Agency follows13-year-old Sam Steele Jr. (Jacob Hays) as he forms his own private detective agency to emulate his father, Des Moines detective Sam Steele, and helps track down a burglar, portrayed by the 90210 actor.

"I am a jewel thief, I am the bad guy, it reminds me of movies I saw when I was a kid. Jake, the boy who plays Sam Steele junior is great. It's a sweet script, an easy read. I want to make some stuff my kids can watch," said Perry, who has two kids with former model Rachel Minnie Sharp.

The project just started production so Luke Perry fans will have to wait a little longer before the movie hits the big screen. Meanwhile, there is still no confirmation on Perry's appearance on 90210, the CW reboot of Beverly Hills 90210. The actor has fended off any offer to guest star on the show, reasoning that revisiting his former series is not the same as the late Aaron Spelling himself doing it.

However, recent reports imply that Perry is now set to join Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty, and Tori Spelling as former 90210 originals who have reprised their roles on The CW revival.

A source tells Star Magazine: "They wanted to spread out the guest appearances. That's why Tori appeared well after the show's premiere, and now Luke will most likely be next."
