Beauty and the Geek on Wednesday. Erin and her partner Drew (whom we interviewed yesterday) were an unlikely pair and, although their fundamental differences were difficult to overcome, they connected and became one of the more likable teams on Beauty and the Geek. We talked to Erin this morning about her time on Beauty and the Geek, how she related to her partner, and the ways the show changed her as a person. How did you first come in contact with Beauty and the Geek? How did you come to be on the show?
Through Eileen Wilson Modeling Agency. And they just set you up? It was just one of many auditions that I went out for. Had you seen the show beforehand? Only four or five seconds. Did you have any expectations or goals going into the season? My goals were just kind of like...I had no idea what to expect, so I just wanted to go and have fun and see what happens. You never know what to expect, so I just wanted do the best I could. Overall, how did you feel about Drew as a partner? It was frustrating for both of us at times, because we're so different and that was something we struggled with. But, yeah, overall it was great. He was really supportive of me. In your last episode, did you think that you and Drew deserved to be sent to the elimination room? I think, at that time, we probably were deserving. We hadn't yet won a challenge, so I wasn't surprised at all that we went there. It was just really frustrating because I did well on the challenges, but luck was just not on my side. Did being on the show teach you anything? Did you learn anything about yourself? I learned patience, because you're making decisions not only for yourself, but for someone else to, which requires teamwork. Do you feel like you were portrayed fairly? How did you think you were edited? You have to expect it [the editing], because, you know, it's reality TV. It's a lot of cutting and pasting. It is what it is. Do you keep in touch with any of your fellow cast mates from the show? I talk to Drew. I talk to Nadia, Nate. What are your plans for the future? I'm going to continue modeling and singing.
