While
Rock of Love 2 hasn't yet acknowledged it, most fans of either that show or
Beauty and the Geek know by now that Season 3 winner
Megan Hauserman is now making an attempt to win
Bret Michaels' heart.
While the
Playboy model's second reality series might be the flashiest of the post-
Beauty and the Geek activities, it doesn't mean that other Beauties and Geeks aren't keeping plenty busy as well, including another television gig for another show alum.
Niels Hoven is continuing his work as a dating coach, although with a bit of a different focus than some of the current crop of “Pick-up Artists” making the rounds in recent years. He recently said on his blog, “I'm coming to believe that this pickup thing should be a temporary phase. Develop some new skills, gain some new understanding, and move on to something else in your life, while retaining what you've learned. If you're hoping to become a pickup god, loving and leaving every woman in sight, find someone else to work with. But if you're looking for a sense of control over your dating life and some choice in your relationships, I think I can help.”
To that end, he's offering some weekly dating and flirting seminars to help men who might be at the stage many of the “Geeks” are when they join
Beauty and the Geek; well-intentioned but perhaps in need of a little guidance.
Richard Rubin, Geek from Season 1 who, at the time, was noted to have “kissed three girls,” will be appearing as a regular on the new season of
1 vs. 100. He's joining a group of regulars that include three Playboy Playmates and Ross the Intern from
The Tonight Show. But he's actually not the first
Beauty and the Geek star to make an appearance;
Cecille Gahr appeared on the show as a Hawaiian Tropic girl.
And David Olsen, winner of Season 4 of
Beauty and the Geek, will be honored by his hometown for “proving to America that it's cool to be smart.”
