Dave continues to have a crush on Nicole. They share their stories of love and loss, and Dave psyches himself up to ask her out on a date when the season of Beauty and the Geek is over.

It's time to learn what their challenge is going to be. Mike Richards brings a bottle of wine, which prompts William to tell the confessional cam that he hates wine. Mike tells everyone that their next challenge will be in a vineyard in wine country, and it will be another team challenge. The winning team is guaranteed a spot in the final two, and Mike reminds William and Jen that they have not yet won a single challenge.

William studies during the ride up and refuses to listen when everyone else (even Jasmine) corrects his pronunciation of cabernet. He pronounces the "t."

They arrive at the Beauty and the Geek vineyard. First they have to pick 20 pounds of grapes and transfer them to buckets. Then, they'll have to stomp on the wine with their feet. They must fill and label three wine bottles and then carry the bottles on a tray over to Mike. The catch is that this is also a three-legged race. William and Jen are having a hard time walking together. Nicole has trouble estimating what ten pounds feels like. Dave and Jasmine make it back to their buckets first and they even have enough grapes. Jen and William only have 13 pounds, so they have to go down the hill to get more grapes. They make it up to 20 pounds of grapes, but Jasmine and Dave have already begun bottling and labeling their stomped grape juice. They put three bottles on the tray and carried the tray over to Mike to win the challenge. That was an awesome performance, not a single misstep. They are arguably the least athletic team, but they still won, and now they are definitely in the final two. This also means that Sam and Nicole and William and Jen must go to elimination.

After the challenge, the teams go up to the top of a mountain where a spread of wine and cheese are there for them to eat. I hope it's not the wine that they stomped. Sam sulks during the entire meal, pissed off that he didn't win the challenge. Jasmine is resentful that Sam ruined her and Dave's celebration with his black mood.

William and Jen have some hope that Sam might be too depressed from his loss to study for elimination, so they buckle down and hit the books. William usually studies by himself, but this time, he and Jen work together in the hopes of besting Sam and Nicole.

The three remaining teams go downstairs to find a TV set up for a special surprise. The video starts playing footage of the geeks introducing themselves to the beauties on the first day in the mansion. Dave and Jasmine watch their first awkward moments when Dave was less than pleased after being paired up with Jasmine. But Jasmine forgives him because she knows he wasn't being mean, just honest, and posits that his brutal honesty may be why he doesn't have a girlfriend.

Next on the screen are Sam and Nicole. I actually don't think that Sam and Nicole have changed very much over the course of the season.

Jen and William are treated to a look back at their journey. Seeing pre-makeover William on the screen and post-makeover William on the couch proves how little his appearance changed. The video shows a moment early on in the competition in which William and Jen argue about the relative weights of muscle and fat. They are both kind of right. William knows that muscle is more dense than fat, but Jen describes a cup of fat and a cup of muscle with identical volumes and says that the cup of muscle is heavier, which is the same thing. Everyone realizes from this that William and Jen's interpersonal problems have started from the beginning. Jen and William both agree that they have improved a tiny bit in the way they interact.

Dave helps Nicole study. He wants Sam and Nicole to win because he has a crush on her. He wants to tell her, but he's afraid of ruining their friendship. Jasmine knows about the crush, and acts as confidante. She says that if Sam and Nicole win tonight, they should all go on a double-date, and advises Dave not to let his fear get in the way of telling Nicole how he feels. Jasmine sneaks over to Sam and Nicole's room, suggests the double-date and sends Nicole to talk to Dave. Dave and Nicole live only about a five-minute walk away from each other in Boston, so he asks her if she wants to get ice cream in Davis Square sometime. She says yes and gives him a hug, but then tells the confessional cam that even though she definitely wants to hang out with him in Boston, she doesn't see it going any further than friendship. I'm so proud of Dave! Asking people out is always hard asking people out, especially if you're not accustomed to doing it.

It's elimination time. First up, Sam versus Jen. Jen goes first. She knows that the skin of the grape gives wine its color. Sam knows that Bacchus is the Roman god of wine. Jen incorrectly thinks that an ornithologist is a wine scientist. She does know from her study session with William that the answer is oenologist, but she and William both pronounce the first "o," which confuses her. Sam knows the correct way to enjoy wine: sip, slosh, spit.

So, the score is 2-1, Sam and Nicole versus William and Jen.

The geeks enter the elimination room and William says that it's his fault that Jen got it wrong because of his mispronunciation.

William knows right away the proper relative serving temperatures of three kinds of wine. Nicole knows that port has a higher alcohol content than wine. William doesn't know who Amy Winehouse is. This means that William and Jen have lost the competition and must now go home. William kicks himself for not picking the other question, which indeed he should have because he knew the answer to that question.

Dave and Jasmine and Sam and Nicole are in the final two teams. Which team is going to win it all?
Dave and Jasmine
Sam and Nicole
