Trent Dawson


Trent Dawson was born on February 4, 1971 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and starting acting at a very young age. He acted in church, school plays and at local dinner theaters. He was educated at Boston University for a year and later headed to Europe to get away from acting and academics. There he became an orange picker and migrant worker, singing and playing the guitar on the streets. He became homeless for a while then returned home after watching Mel Gibson's Hamlet in Athens. He then entered the University of Colorado where he actively participated in the Colorado Shakespeare Festivals. When he graduated, he moved to New York to pursue his dreams of being an actor. He became a waiter and a temp before landing a role in a Romeo and Juliet production. He participated in numerous productions until he was cast for the role of Henry Coleman on the daytime soap opera As the World Turns. He also traveled to New Orleans to participate in Habitat for Humanity's projects to rebuild houses that were affected by the hurricane Katrina.

Henry Coleman is played by Trent Dawson in the soap opera As the World Turns. Henry is the eldest of eight children. He is close to his youngest sister, Maddie. Their mother was a habitual gambler and was often away from home, thus leaving Henry to care for his younger siblings. He worked in a television station called WOAK where he strived to succeed in any endeavor he was involved in. Like his mother, he gambles and likes martinis. He is sarcastic, witty, and charming, but can also be very manipulative and ruthless when it comes to reaching his goals.
