On tonight's episode of Army Wives - "Moving Out" - Claudia Joy (Kim Delaney) continues to have trouble from her daughter while looking for a place to live. Trevor (Drew Fuller) makes a big mistake that can have serious consequences to his job, while Pamela (Brigid Brannagh) starts to realize that she needs a bigger home so that her kids can have their own rooms. Finally, Roland (Sterling K. Brown) is thinking of getting better care for the soldiers at Fort Marshall, thanks to a therapist who talks to him.
Last time on the Lifetime drama, Denise (Catherine Bell) tried to find out if Frank (Terry Serpico) is OK after potentially getting injured in Iraq. Meanwhile, Claudia Joy was hoping that she could find Emmalin and Logan, while Roland had some realizations regarding army life. Finally, Pamela decided to show new army wives what base life will be like for them.
In a prior interview with TV Guide, Sally Pressman, who plays Roxy on
Army Wives, said she was very excited with their third season because it opens up a lot of possibilities for them in terms of storyline.
"We have a new group of writers and together with the show-runner, they had an idea which of the problems they were going to tie up so that we can move on to a new season of things," she says. "A lot of things get resolved in that first episode so it opens it up in for Season 3 -- kind of like a blank slate a little bit, in a very good way."
The focus of the new season, she adds, is to "reestablish" each character's individual voices from the debut season, which for her might mean reevaluating things after Betty's nephew Collin shows up demanding half of their bar.
"Roxy and Trevor are suffering financially. They are at the bottom of the food chain in the group, and Roxy's business is not doing well. So what do you do when you're in financial crisis and you have two kids you have to provide for? It's something a lot of people are going to understand right now and are going to be familiar with."
