Jeff Foxworthy Biography:
Born on September 6, 1958 in Atlanta, Georgia, comedian and actor Jeffrey M. “Jeff” Foxworthy is a graduate of Hapeville High School and was a student at Georgia Tech University. He was an employee of IBM for five years, and in 1984, was encouraged by his colleagues to join The Great Southeastern Laugh Off at Punch Line comedy club in Atlanta. Foxworthy won the competition, and has since then worked hard on building his career as a comedian. The fruits of his labor include his comedy album, You Might Be a Redneck, and his own sitcom The Jeff Foxworthy Show. In 2002, he created the comedy show Blue Collar TV, which ran for only three seasons. Currently, he is busy hosting the unique Fox game show, Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?.
As the host of the Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, it is Foxworthy’s job to facilitate and test a group of adult contestants in order to see just how much the contestants still know about elementary-level academics.
