Nine-year-old Cody hails from Newport, Ohio, and is nicknamed "Tank" or "Tanker." He believes that the price of gasoline can change the world, and that war is one of the biggest global problems today. Belonging to the Dart Athletic Association, Cody values education and enjoys social studies class in school. He is an aspiring police officer and would like to donate money to the Spina Bifida Association one day.

Cody is one of 40 children to appear on CBS' Kid Nation, where they are tasked to build and govern their own society in forty days. One outstanding child will be awarded with a golden star worth $20,000 at the end of every episode. This will be based on how good they handle mature issues while dealing with their childhood issues such as peer pressure and homesickness.
