Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader: New Celebrity Contestants Announced
Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?  That's what will be asked to a slew of brand new special celebrity contestants in the upcoming fall television season.  Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader has more and more relied on their celebrity weeks to increase ratings and pique fan interest.  Today, FOX announced their newest batch of celebrity contestants, and they range from a former Nobel laureate to an ex-supermodel.  Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader premieres Friday, September 5 with a special two-hour episode.

The first episode of the season will see former supermodel Kathy Ireland face off against a brand-new batch of fifth graders.  The same episode will also feature Georgia State superintendent Kathy Cox trying her hand at conquering the fifth graders.

The celebrities, as always, will play for charities.  The list of celebrities who will appear on the new season of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader is below, in order of how good of a chance I believe they have in winning (least to best chance).

Star Jones – talk show host who once lost a ton of weight.

Sugar Ray Leonard – former boxer who has been punched in the head literally thousands of time.

Dean Cain – used to be Superman.  Now just a dude trying to get work.

Jennie GarthBeverly Hills 90210 alumnus, still hot.

Robert “Hoot” Gibson – former astronaut who I've never heard and therefore probably shouldn't be considered a celebrity.

Jack Hannah – Animal guy, kind of like Brian Fellow

Gene Simmons – KISS frontman, owner of a monstrous tongue, smart guy.

George Fitzgerald Smoot III – a former Nobel Prize laureate, who would usually be the number one ranked celebrity challenger, if it wasn't for...

Ken Jennings – the greatest Jeopardy player known to man, probably the greatest living trivialist (I know it's not a word).  I expect him to dominate.
