Mercedes McNab was known for playing Harmony Kendall on the spin-off
Angel, as well as its root series
Buffy the Vampire Slayer,
where she was introduced as one of the members of Cordelia Chase's (
Charisma Carpenter) clique. She joined Wolfram & Hart, as a member of the secretarial pool and eventually became the personal secretary of Angel (
David Boreanaz). More often appearing as a vampire than as a human, she possessed superhuman strength, durability, and speed, along with virtual immortality. In the coming months, the 27-year-old actress will be taking on a series of thriller movies, which are all expected to hit the theaters later this year.
In the upcoming slasher film
Hatchet, the former
Angel actress joins an all-star horror cast that includes Robert Englund (
A Nightmare on Elm Street), Joshua Leonard (
The Blair Witch Project) and Kane Hodder (
Friday the 13th) ,just to name a few. Described as an old school American thriller, the movie is scheduled for release on Friday, September 7.
On October 31, she will be featured in a murder mystery film entitled
Dark Reel. Also starring Edward Furlong and Tiffany Shepis, the story revolves around the mayhem in a production set with a killer on the loose.
Right now, she is busy filming
Medium Raw, a movie about a night of survival against the world's most terrifying inmates, not to mention a sadistic serial killer. McNab stars along with John Rhys-Davies and Stephen McHattie.
In addition to her role on
Angel, Mercedes McNab was also noted for acting alongside Richard Gere in
Miles from Home, and for her work in
The Pink Conspiracy and
Crossing Jordan.
