Last night on
America's Next Top Model, we said goodbye to the phenomenon that is
Dominique. Her dragalicious look could no longer be overlooked, and with Miss
J. Alexander's special deep tranny voice still ringing in her ears, she was sent home from the competition.
But before she left, she gave us one last Dominique photo shoot, and we'll take a look at that, and the other three girls' shots, in this week's review of the Best and Worst shots of the week on
America's Next Top Model.

BEST
Honestly, although I think
Anya looks absolutely gorgeous in this shot, and while hers, of all the girls, captured the concept of a quick photo snapped by the paparazzi the best, it's still not quite there for me. It's about eighty percent there, I think. Better than the others, hence the Best designation, but it feels like she needed more time to really nail something that looks like accidental yet fashion as opposed to just accidental yet still beautiful.
I agree with the judges that Anya seems to be a little high-energy in a way that makes it challenging for her to sometimes focus on the shoot. That said, if this little quirk of hers is in any way a hindrance to her making it to at least the final two, I will be so mad. She's new to all of this AND in a competition, so it's natural she is going to be a bundle of nerves and have a bunch of extra energy that she needs to burn off.
I just feel certain though that despite the fact that she seems sometimes a little out-in-the-ether at times, I think she is actually probably clever underneath all that cotton candy exterior. I think if she were to win or at least come in second, she would gain a sort of grounding confidence that would serve her well after the competition is over and help settle that nervous energy. I just hope the judges aren't setting her up for elimination; often when we see these kinds of negative comments in judging right before someone who was previously strong is eliminated the next week on
America's Next Top Model.
ALMOST

Whitney does look beautiful, as does
Fatima. It's just that their shots do not embody the challenge quite as well as Anya's did.
WORST
Despite the ribbing we've all been giving her, good for Dominique if she IS so self-confident and sure of herself as she says she is. After all, Tyra's all about wanting to empower women to not have self-esteem issues, right? So while it could be a little grating at times on the show (heck, even sunny Anya was annoyed), I hope it helps her bounce back quickly from being eliminated.
Nevertheless, I have to send her out on a low note. This photo was neither her best work, nor as good as the other girls.
