America's Best Dance Crew: Nine Crews Compete for "Sudden Death Challenge"
America's Best Dance Crew: Nine Crews Compete for "Sudden Death Challenge"
After the judges have sifted through the hopefuls and the woefuls, they've finally come up with nine of the best crews for this season of America's Best Dance Crew.  There are only a few left to compete for the prize and the title, but this forthcoming "Sudden Death Challenge" will take care of that.

For America's Best Dance Crew tonight, the top crews are required to perform to a chart-topping song, mixed for their act.  Once the winners have been selected, those who rank the lowest in each region will have to face off.  It's going to be some battle when they have to dance to a master mix of Ke$ha's "TiK ToK".

But just so we know who will be competing on the "Sudden Death Challenge," let's take a gander at the crews involved.  While there are no all-girl groups this time around, this is the first season of America's Best Dance Crew to feature a team from Canada and Hawaii.

First off, let's get to know the crews from the West:
Heavy Impact
Composed entirely of guys, this crew hopes to inspire anyone who has a passion for dance, no matter what size they may be.  They hope to break stereotypes on their appearance, betting on their feel-good performance and charm to convince the world.

Hype 5-0
This crew from Hawaii is all hip-hop, but with edge.  Getting past those tattoos and piercings they've employed, they also incorporate native dance moves into their routines.

Poreotix
Inspired by robots, the members of the team provide something unexpected with their every movement.  They combine a number of routines, even integrating humor and sunglasses to their style.

Now for the East side, we have:
Blueprint Cru
Hailing from Canada, this group prides themselves in the distinct level of synchronicity and hip-hop they've achieved.  They aim for precision and perfection, highlighting the details of their routines each time.

Saltare
This crew is ready to surprise with their penchant for using jump-ropes.  But despite the unconventional manner of their performances, Saltare seeks to challenge themselves in a different field: dance.

Static Noyze
Thinking themselves outcasts, Static Noyze gets right in business when they take the stage.  They describe their style as "hip-hop with a contemporary twist," never fearing to try out new and offbeat moves in performances.

Last up, it's the groups from the South.
Jungle Boogie
Their southern "Crankin" style setting them apart, this crew is led by a femme fatale who attempts only the best.  They plan to cover the entire dance floor with their hard-hitting and big-step movements, all in the name of having fun.

Royal Flush
Determined to make it big in America's Best Dance Crew, this crew has auditioned in every season of the show so far.  They've made it at last, and will showcase their diverse styles of krumping, breaking, salsa, and more, just for a shot at stardom.

Swagger Crew
Atlanta gives us this group of confident street dancers, banking on their fast footwork and the sex appeal of their only female member.  Though overconfident and cocky, they do have the talent to back it up.

Seeing how varied these crews are, it might prove tough to choose which one deserves to win America's Best Dance Crew.  It's only the beginning, and already they have to make a strong first impression tonight.  Catch them compete for the "Sudden Death Challenge" at 10pm on MTV.
