America's Best Dance Crew 2: Top 5 Predictions
America's Best Dance Crew 2: Top 5 Predictions
I feel completely unequipped this week to make any kind of prediction for America's Best Dance Crew 2, seeing as how completely off my spidey sense was last week.

Two crews I thought were safe wound up being in the crosshairs. Super Cr3w slipped all the way down to the bottom two, and A.S.I.I.D. was sent home. Meanwhile, the two crews that I thought for certain weren't winning enough fans – Boogie Bots and Supreme Soul – shot up to the top two.

America, you are full of surprises! What does your voting have in store for us this week on America's Best Dance Crew 2?

I was glad to see that FannyPak also made it to the top three, and that voters are appreciating their unique style and consistently entertaining performances. That said, they have had ups and downs before, so you just never know which way the public will react to them.

I might have overestimated the public's love for Super Cr3w once, but I am think that their rapid decline might have woken up some fans who maybe forgot to vote or figured they were so strong they were safe. So I think it's likely they will be safe this week if those fans rallied and got to the phones. I also hope their earnest teamwork won them some new fans after their “Black Cat” performance last week.

With A.S.I.I.D. out of the picture, SoReal Cru is now the co-ed crew that brings the super-sexy (FannyPak is plenty sexy, too, of course, but their main thing is more creative and sometimes campy entertainment rather than suave sexiness). I am hoping America keeps them around because I think, like A.S.I.I.D., the interplay between the guys and the girls brings an interesting element that the all-dude crews don't have. That diversity helps keep the competition interesting.

As to Supreme Soul and Boogie Bots, I'm just not sure what to think. I like both crews quite a bit. Supreme Soul's understated intricacies are impressive, and they put a lot of thoughtful effort into their routines. Boogie Bots have shown flashes of creative brilliance, and I would like the chance to see if they can finally push through. But I am just not quite as excited about them as I am about the other crews.

That said, America and I clearly disagree sometimes, so I don't know if my top three will be all of yours, but we will find out tomorrow on America's Best Dance Crew 2.
