Rudy Cardenas Biography:
Rudy Cardenas is originally from Denver, Colorado, but now lives in North Hollywood, California. He is 28 years old and was born in Venezuela. Rudy has been singing since he was just a little over three years old. From then on, he continued to pursue his passion for music, performing with the group, M-pact and acquiring a degree in vocal performance from the University of Northern Colorado. He auditioned in Seattle for season 6 of
American Idol and successfully made it to the top 24. He thinks of his wife and breathes deeply before each performance. He plays the sax and the piano, but has yet to conquer his fear of heights. He likes to listen to Freddie Mercury, Marc Anthony, Stevie Wonder, Rascall Flats, Gloria Estefan, Sade and Ella Fitzgerald.
Rudy Cardenas was noted for his rendition of “Free Ride” by Edgar Winter Group, which he performed during the sixth season of American Idol. Unfortunately, he was voted off the competition, consequently landing the 22nd spot.
At present, Rudy Cardenas is working on his debut solo album.
