Gina Glocksen Biography:

Gina Glocksen is no stranger to American Idol as this is her second time appearing on the reality show. In season 5, she received the golden ticket to Hollywood, but was voted off by the judges after the fourth day. Nevertheless, Gina came back for a second chance, this time auditioning in Memphis. The sassy 23-year-old from Naperville, Illinois again gained the judges' approval and after three stressful weeks emerged as one of the 24 semifinalists. Other than singing, which she has been doing since she was 7 years old, Gina also plays the flute and the piano. She makes it a point to floss her teeth before every performance. She is the owner of several lucky charms, one of which is a troll doll. Even if she doesn't win American Idol, Gina plans to continue pursuing her singing career.

Following her performance of “Smile” by Charlie Chaplin, Gina Glocksen was voted off the sixth season of American Idol on April 4, 2007, making her the 9th place finalist.  Like Chris Sligh , Stephanie Edwards and Brandon Rogers , she was never in the bottom 3 or 2 until she was eliminated.

After American Idol, Gina Glocksen appeared on Live with Regis and Kelly and The Ellen DeGeneres Show .  She also released an EP containing the four songs she sang while in the final 12.

American Idol Finals performances:

Week 1: Diana Ross - "Love Child" (The Supremes)
Week 2: British Invasion - "Paint It, Black" (The Rolling Stones)
Week 3: Gwen Stefani - "I'll Stand By You" (The Pretenders)
Week 4: American Classics / Tony Bennett - "Smile" (Charlie Chaplin)
