Danny Gokey. Has any generic American Idol contestant ever been more controversial? Having missed much of last season, save Oscar's recaps, I never fully understood why any one cared either way about the mild-mannered music teacher from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. But you do, enough to leave countless comments both defending and deriding The Gokey.

Sorry to say that Gokey's just released video for his song "The Best Days Are Ahead of Me" won't be changing anyone's mind about him. If you loved him and his church-perfect voice and message during Idol, you'll love the video and its power of positive thinking slogans and message. If you thought Gokey was cheesier than cheddar, those same slogans and positive phrases, are going to have you reaching for a barf bucket faster than you can say "sob-story."

To avoid angering either side, I'm going to keep my personal feelings personal and let you judge  the video for yourself.
