'American Idol' Roundup: Videos Galore! Kris Allen, Simon Cowell's Haiti Single, and Carrie Underworm

Now, remind me to
pronounce Allie's last name correct.
Simon was right with the \"I can do it in ten days\" claim. The video for his Haiti charity single, a cover of REM's \"Everybody Hurts\", finally came out. The song, which featured
X Factor winners Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke, and
Britain's Got Talent whiz Susan Boyle, among others, recently topped iTunes' download charts,
and is expected to hit number one in next week's official UK charts. As for the video, well, it really does hurt watching it.
David's got the piano on his side. Surely you've seen
David Cook's interview with Entertainment Weekly's Michael Slezak, the one where he talks about his second album? He revealed that while he's still collaborating with songwriter David Hodges and his bandmates Neil Tiemann and Andy Skib on a few songs, he's also working with Max Martin and OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder. He also promises more piano in his next songs, which should sound quite good.
And he did mention a couple of new song titles. I'll only mention one of them: \"Tonight Is On Your Side\" sounds particularly interesting.
And finally... Carrie Underwood takes on
Sesame Street as a specially-made character named \"Carrie Underworm\". Yep, she's a worm, and she recorded a song especially for the show, curiously called \"The Worm Anthem\". And yes, it is an earworm--a good thing, because I don't want to hear \"I'm a beautiful man flower\" in my head at random instances again. The character debuts on February 11 on PBS, and will also air on March 17, April 8 and April 26.
What's next? David Cook facing off with the Swedish Chef?

Let's soothe our senses after Howard Stern expresses his interest in replacing Simon Cowell. It's an
American Idol roundup, with loads of videos: delayed AOL sessions, an interview with David Cook, and a worm. No, really.
What's up with the delays? The fanbase will surely understand where I'm coming from. Both
Kris Allen and
Allison Iraheta recorded sessions for AOL late last year, and they were only posted on the site over the past couple of days, which makes the interviews rather dated. Still, you can watch the videos on AOL Music, and I'm be posting my favorites off the two sessions.
