An admission is in order: I don't remember Ace Young, which is pretty bad since I watched the fifth season of American Idol quite closely--in a past life, of course--and rooted for Taylor Hicks.  But anyway, the detail is, he's engaged.
The 28-year-old singer is hooking up with fellow performer Allison Fischer, 20, who he co-starred with on the recently-concluded Broadway run of Grease.  Neither's part of the musical's national tour, where--and here goes the uncanny connection--Hicks currently appears as the Teen Angel.

"I found my true love in Grease," the singer, who finished in seventh place, told US Weekly.  No date for the marriage has been set.

So that follows the set of Idol graduates who we noticed have fallen in love--that other uncanny connection goes to fellow season 5 contestant Kellie Pickler, who's recently reported to be dating Kid Rock.  Oh, and of course, Adam Lambert, too, who admitted he's dating interior designer Drake LaBry after the photos (before he came out).  And I wonder about the scrutiny...
