
In case you haven’t heard, Comedy Central has a new program called
American Body Shop. The 30-minute improvised comedy centers on a dysfunctional body shop and the accident-prone crew that works there. It airs every Sunday at 10:30/9:30c.
Set at an automotive garage in suburban Phoenix, Arizona,
American Body Shop follows the head of Desert Body & Custom as he struggles to save the business from bankruptcy while trying to keep his employees from killing each other.

Leading the cast is Peter Hulne who plays the character Sam. As the twice-divorced head of Desert Body & Custom, he struggles to get out of debt while dealing with his dysfunctional crew. His acting credits include

In My Life.
Playing Desert Body & Custom’s receptionist Denise is Jill Bartlett. As the only woman in the garage, she tries to endure her workplace full of male-chauvinist grease monkeys. Bartlett has landed guest appearances on shows like
Las Vegas,
Guilty or Innocent? and
Punk’d.
Joining the crew is Tim Nichols who plays the lazy yet devious auto painter. Aside from being a cast member, Nichols also serves as a consulting producer of the show.
Portraying Brooklyn Johnny, the ultimate black market source, is John DiResta. DiResta has graced movies such as
Miss Congeniality, 15 Minutes, and
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. On television, he has appeared on
Judging Amy, Becker, and
Malcolm in the Middle.
Nick Offerman stars as Rob, the shop’s suspension specialist who appears to be a renaissance man. Some of his credits include
24 as Marcus,
George Lopez as Randy, and
Gilmore Girls as Beau Melville.
Last but not the least, Frank Merino stars as Luis, the Spanish-speaking shop assistant who often woos every woman he encounters. Frank Merino has played minor and supporting roles on
Sleeper Cell,
The Shield, and
Jesse.
Sam Greene and Jim Jones, along with Comedy Central’s Daniel Powell and Zoe Friedman are the producers of
American Body Shop.
