It's down to the final three battling for the Ikki Twins hearts on
A Double Shot At Love. We've got the lone lesbian left
Rebekah, Golden Boy
Trevor, and good old Jersey
Scottie still in the competition. In reality they could have done this episode in 15 minutes, because we've all known since the second or third episode that Rebekah and Trevor were going to be the last two standing.
After the season's third episode 51% of you thought that both of the Ikki's would fall for Trevor--and you were totally right. However, the 18% of you who said that they'd fall for Rebekah were also right...because everyone is falling in love with everyone.
Yes, the "L Word" (and no, not the Showtime show) was out in a big way this episode. Both Rikki and Vikki talked about falling in love with each of the contestants, though their declarations for Scottie were weaker than what they said about the chosen two. We should have kept a tally, but we are positive every remaining contestant and Ikki Twin used the world love to describe their feelings for someone else, which is just kind of sad for the contestants and very confusing for the Ikki's. Falling in love with one person is often confusing; so I imagine falling in love with three people, all while wondering if they're really in love with your identical twin, is downright maddening.
The stress of the situation did seem to be getting to everyone this episode. Rikki and Vikki seem to engage in a battle to the death or at least to the detriment of their relationship over who will be the most beloved Ikki. When one of the contestants pays more attention to the other sister, whoever is being left out does everything in her power to get back the person's attention. While I am sure this is nice for whatever contestant is stuck in the middle of an Ikki twin kissing battle, it can't be good for sisterhood. And it's not only the Twins who are freaking out a little. Cheery surfer boy Trevor was in the dumps throughout the episode after having to see both Rebekah and Scottie have individual dates with the Ikkis and not come home until the morning. Rebekah looses her appetite and looks like she might puke after the twins say they have bruises on their legs from a stripper pole the morning after Scottie's date.
Rebekah shouldn't worry too much though, she had the best individual date with the twins and seemed to have gotten the most loving out of everyone. By now the "individual dates," which is really both Ikki twins and the contestant, have gotten down right creepy. Take Rebekah's date for example, while she's making out with Rikki in one bedroom, Vikki is spreading rose petals on her bed to prepare for her alone time with her. And no, there doesn't seem to be a shower taken between point a and b, though there certainly should be. Scottie's individual date is kind of a disaster, he falls asleep sitting up--not to mention while two identical twins conduct strip teases for him (complete with pole). Golden Boy Trevor's date doesn't go that great either. While he makes out with both twins passionately, he confesses to Rikki that's he's not
falling in love with her, he's
in love with her. Rikki, who's been saying all she wants is love, totally freaks out about Trevor's declaration and makes him sleep on the couch. So much drama for exactly what you wanted Rikki!
Still, when it came down to elimination there was really no question who would be left standing: Rebekah and Trevor. Now comes the really interesting part -- after all this making out and loving everyone, who chooses who? You'll have to wait until next week, when the Ikki's both hope to find love. We've got the sinking feeling, they're looking for it from the same source. Which, unless their willing to go
Big Love after this, is going to be very very tricky. (Must. Not. Say. Icky...but it works so well!)
Next Week on A Double Shot at Love with The Ikki Twins: a double dose of
A Double Shot with a sure to be wild reunion show before the finale. The finale seems to involve tears of the not happy kind.
