Former 7th Heaven Actress Ties the Knot
Actress Sarah Thompson, who starred as Rose on the CW's 7th Heaven, tied the knot last week with screenwriter Brad Kane.

The outdoor ceremony was held on July 28 at the Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara, California.  Standing on a lawn overlooking the ocean, the couple exchanged vows in front of 110 of their family and friends.  Also present at the ceremony was Lost executive producer Damon Lindelof, who served as a groomsman, Mission: Impossible 3 screenwriter Alex Kurtzman and former The Bachelor star, Charlie O'Connell.

"It was breathtakingly beautiful," Sarah Thompson said of her wedding.  "It was amazing to be surrounded by the people you love the most."  The 27-year-old actress wore a Vera Wang gown, while Kane was dressed in a Hugo Boss suit.

Wedding planner Kara Keaney, whose resume includes the nuptials of Pink and Lisa Marie Presley, said that it was a very touching ceremony.

"You can tell how much they adore each other,” she said.

The wedding was followed by a reception at the resort's Rotunda room. Guests feasted on filet mignon and Alaskan wild salmon.  A nine-piece band provided the music for the party, which did not end until after midnight.

"We had so much fun," says Kane.  "We didn't want the night to end."

The former 7th Heaven actress first met Kane through mutual friends in 2002. They got engaged in December 2005.

Sarah Thompson joined the cast of the CW drama series during its ninth season.  Her character was paired with Simon Camden (David Gallagher), and although the two became engaged, they decided not to get married because neither of them was ready.

Aside from 7th Heaven, Thompson is also known for her roles on such series as Angel and Boston Public.  She will also be appearing on the upcoming films Babysitter Wanted, Dear Me and Broken Windows.  As for her new hubby, Kane is presently adapting for the screen the 2005 best-selling novel, The Historian.
