'24' Preview: Bauer vs Logan
'24' Preview: Bauer vs Logan
Yikes. There really is no stopping Jack Bauer.

And while I'm used to him doing really icky things to get what he wants, the way he tortured Pavel made me cringe. Was I the only one who did that? Or is it because we all thought he wouldn't do that again--I mean, we began this season with him settling down to a quiet life, and now, that's beyond an afterthought. It's all forgotten.

Then again, the integrity of the country is at stake now. Beyond its safety, he's trying to save its integrity, one that could go poof when a not-so-peaceful peace treaty gets signed.

24 has three hours left before the clock stops ticking for good, and it seems Jack won't stop at anything to expose the conspiracy. And after his discovery last week, that President Logan has a hand in these things, he'll be out for him. Jack will get his hands on him, literally--you've seen the promos. He is kidnapping him. What he does next is something I can't imagine. Or want to think.

But Jack's uncontrollable descent--not that I disagree, but there's no better term--would certainly pit him against CTU. Chloe's been swinging to and fro between following the rules and following her gut, and while she's subverting authority with her efforts to help Jack, I bet she'll be powerless soon. Now they're headed on another collision course with Jack. Question is, what will come out of it? I guess it depends on what happens to President Logan.

24 ticks down to the end tonight from 9pm on Fox.
