What will
Jack Bauer do when he learns his father is a bad guy? Things are going to get ugly, both for Jack and for
President Palmer. Does
24 have the gall to assassinate two President Palmer's in the span of two seasons? That'd be too crazy, even for
24, right? How will Marilyn redeem herself for leading Jack to the wrong house? So many questions. Here are my quick thoughts I jotted down while watching the episode:
- Marilyn gets winded pretty quickly. Which is weird, because she looks like she's in good shape.
- Oftentimes, the difference between a great henchman and a good henchman is a well-manicured beard.
- Better field agent: Milo or Chloe?
- I thought there was a chance that Milo was going to receive a cold-blooded execution.
- Great acting by Kiefer there when he learns that Phillip is the mastermind.
- I'm still iffy on Marilyn Bauer. Pretty hot, but a little annoying and lacking courage. Her redemption will probably come at some point.
- No one's better at asking themselves a self-deprecating rhetorical question than Jack Bauer.
- The Morris character is a great addition to the season. He's complex and his relationship with Chloe gives both actors a bunch of material.
- Josh Bauer is having a really, really bad day.
- Phillip Bauer is HARD - CORE.
- So, they ARE going to kill the President. I think this is the most ridiculous of all the plot lines this season. Really, a couple of Presidential advisers are going to kill the Prez. Are we in ancient Rome?
- Morris is just a mess. Good acting, not sure if I believe that his character would act that way.
- Marilyn and Jack are going to make out at some point this season, guaranteed.
- Kind of an eerie, overall feel to this episode.
- Thomas Lennox, you dog. You turned out to be good. Too bad you didn't anticipate Chad Lowe waiting to cold cock you with a flashlight outside the door. Next time, perhaps.
- Okay, so Morris is drunk after taking one pull of whiskey that he immediately threw up? I don't buy it. This story line feels very forced.
- Gredenko and Phillip Bauer, both one step ahead of Jack and CTU.
- I like the level of dishevelment of Phillip Bauer and his hair. It's like Bill Murray at the end of Kingpin.
- Yes, that's right, Jack Bauer punches random henchmen hard in the face for no apparent reason at all. Got a problem with that?
- Phillip Bauer is pretty Vader-esque.
- Jack Bauer's weapon of choice while facing his father: the devastating power of words.
- PRESIDENT LOGAN!!!!
- President Logan's beard makes him look like the late Saddam Hussein. Thought you'd like to know.
