The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008)

Director Andrew Adamson reunites with much of the cast of “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe” for this equally entertaining second film.

In “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian,” the four Pevensie children – Peter Pevensie (William Moseley), Susan Pevensie (Anna Popplewell), Edmund Pevensie (Skandar Keynes), and Lucy Pevensie (Georgie Henley) – return to Narnia, only to find that 1,300 years have passed since their last adventure.

Alongside the Pevensie’s and Prince Caspian is a new supporting cast of characters such as Trumpkin (Peter Dinklage), Nikabrik (Warwick Davis), Doctor Cornelius (Vincent Grass), and General Glozelle (Pierfrancesco Favino).

Once again, war has ravaged Narnia, and the kids have to ally with Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes) to liberate the land and save Narnia from the villainous King Miraz (Sergio Castellitto).

They are joined by a host of colorful characters, including the valiant mouse Reepicheep (voiced by Simon Pegg) and the feisty faun Mr. Tumnus (James McAvoy).

Prince Caspian is a worthy sequel, full of exciting action sequences and breathtaking visuals.

“The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” is significantly grittier in tone and focuses more on the enigmatic yet honorable Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes). The supporting cast has been largely eliminated in favor of new characters. Given the significant time skip in Narnia, it’s a natural progression.

Once there, they embark on a voyage aboard the titular ship, encountering all sorts of exciting creatures and exciting adventures along the way.
