The Freak Show came to Comic-Con Saturday night, meaning the fourth season of FX’s American Horror Story. The panel revealed the names of several key characters as well as the casting of the big villain.

American Horror Story: Freak Show will take place in the 1950s and center on one of the last traveling freak shows in the country, headquartered in Jupiter, Florida. The ensemble includes many returning favorites from past seasons of AHS as well as a few new faces.

Here’s a rundown of the new character names and some of their relationships:

Emma Roberts: Maggie
Sarah Paulson: Conjoined twins Bette and Dot Tattler
Michael Chiklis: Wendell del Tolito, the strongman
Kathy Bates: Effil Darling, Wendell’s ex-wife
Angela Bassett: Desiree Dupre, Wendell’s current wife
Evan Peters: Jimmy Darling, the son of Wendell and Effil
Jessica Lange: Elsa Mars, a German expatriate who runs the freak show

In addition, it was revealed that the big bad of American Horror Story: Freak Show will be played by John Carroll Lynch (Body of Proof). No details on the nature of his horrifying character were revealed.  Lynch also had a scary role in HBO’s Carnivale, as a murderer who escaped prison to follow the evil Brother Justin.

The cast also includes returning AHS alum Jamie Brewer, Frances Conroy, Gabourey Sidibe and Denis O’Hare as the operator of a rival freak show. New additions include American Beauty star Wes Bentley as someone from Effil’s past who is hell-bent on revenge and Finn Wittrock (The Normal Heart, Masters of Sex).

Like previous years, American Horror Story: Freak Show will premiere in October on FX.
