Megalyn Echikunwoke is noted for her roles as Nicole Palmer in the first season of 24 and as Isabelle Tyler in The 4400. At present, however, she is known as the newest Miami-Dade Dayshift medical examiner. Serving as replacement to Doctor Alexx Woods, played by Khandi Alexander, on CSI: Miami, the 25-year-old actress reveals how she prepared to join the forensic drama and what's it like working with the cast and crew.
Echikunwoke's character on CSI: Miami, Doctor Tara Price, was introduced in the seventh season's second episode "Won't Get Fueled Again" where she worked in her first job, which was to examine the body of a burnt male victim on a beach. She then became part of the main opening cast credits in the fifth episode “Bombshell.”

Can you picture Diddy playing a force of justice? Well imagine no more. The 39-year-old rapper, who is also known as Sean Combs in real life, has signed on to appear on CSI: Miami, according to The Insider. This is not the first time Diddy has forayed into acting as he recently garnered critical acclaim for his role in A Raisin in the Sun, a TV movie made by the ABC Network. The rapper, who has said he is retiring from music to concentrate on his acting career, is slated to appear on two episodes of the forensic drama.
For his upcoming stint on CSI: Miami, Diddy will be playing “a prosecutor who does not get along with police Lt. Horatio Caine, played by David Caruso." CBS said that his episodes will probably air in mid to late winter. At present, fans can catch Diddy auditioning potential new assistants on I Want To Work For Diddy and as the man of the house on MTV's Making the Band.

On tonight's episode of CSI: Miami, David Caruso and the gang struggle to rescue a kidnapped baby before it's too late – and the murderer decides to make her his next victim. “Gone Baby Gone” looks like a terribly dramatic episode, especially for moms who are fans of the series.
From the preview clip, it looks like the mother of the child is torn between paying ransom or not. As Calleigh points out, when they pay ransom, the kidnappers will have no reason to keep Sophie (that's the baby) alive.

With the seventh season of CSI: Miami well underway, fans are getting caught up in the suspense and drama of this series. The seventh installment of CSI: Miami, which brings back David Caruso and his shades, filled us in on what happened to Horatio Caine after he was shot back in the finale of season six. Recently, supervising producer Corey Miller spoke to CSI Files to reveal some juicy tidbits on what’s to come on this season of CSI: Miami.
“We would definitely like to explore Horatio's relationship with his son some more this season,” Miller says of Horatio and his son Kyle. “Since we don't typically ‘go home’ with our characters, it has been a challenge to keep Kyle on the front burner, because we do not want him to have to be in trouble every time he comes around. But we are working on ways to further that dynamic, despite the obstacle.”

On CSI: Miami's last episode called “Bombshell,” an explosion ripped off an upscale boutique sending a girl flying to the center of the store. As the team came to investigate, something altogether unrelated caught our attention: Julia (Elizabeth Berkeley), Horatio's (David Caruso) ex, being escorted out of a neighboring store for repeatedly issuing bad checks, prompting some fans who aren't big fans of the Horatio-Julia arc to cry, “throw her in jail!” Later on, their son Kyle would tell Horatio that, indeed, his mom had not been her usual self lately. When someone got run over, Horatio probably realized Kyle wasn't kidding. When Horatio visited Julia, the two shared a quiet moment. Back on the case (which is the point of the show), they discovered that the motive behind sewing a bomb to the dress was to silence a supposed extortionist and blackmailer.
In other CSI: Miami news, Jonathan Togo, best known for playing Ryan Wolfe on the series, is starring in a web series called “My Best Friend is my Penis” that premiered October 22.
