CSI: Miami: Alexx Woods Takes the Center Stage on Tonight's Episode

May 5, 2008

csi: miamiIt's no secret that one of CSI: Miami's series regulars, Khandi Alexander, is bound to leave by the end of season 6.  While there is no confirmation on how her character Dr. Alexx Woods will depart the forensic canvas, fans can expect a massive storyline to commence with her remaining episodes on the CBS crime drama.

“The season finale is awesome,” Miami cast member Eva LaRue said about what's coming up for the last few episodes. “It's going to be an incredible cliffhanger.  It's going to start the next season.  All I'll say is that somebody gets killed, somebody else gets shot and you're not sure if they're going to make it. And then one of our other characters leaves, because Khandi leaves.  We have a lot going on.

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

Khandi Alexander Quits 'CSI: Miami'

April 21, 2008

csi: miamiCSI isn't the only forensic drama to lose a longtime cast member this year.  After the shocking exit announcement of Gary Dourdan, who is set to quit portraying Warrick Brown on CSI when his contract expires next month, the buzz is now pointing to Khandi Alexander, who is also planning to leave CSI: Miami when her contract expires at the end of this season.

According to TV Guide, which first reported Alexander's departure, a show insider has already confirmed the news though CBS has declined to comment on the hit procedural shakeup.  Moreover, Alexander's decision to leave does not reportedly involve a mutual deal with the network as she had some “issues” with certain aspects of the show.

The cast of CSI: MiamiWith a post-strike return scheduled for Monday, March 24, CBS' CSI: Miami is one of the first shows that will be back on air with fresh episodes.  In order to meet the early return date, the show has been hard at work for two weeks now.

"It feels pretty good," series star David Caruso, who plays Horatio Caine told ET at the set.  “I think it was obvious it was time to come back to work, the audience was beginning to miss us.  They said, 'We love the re-runs but enough.'  It's time for some fresh run of episodes."
