Partial Comic Con 2009 Schedule Released

June 9, 2009

I know you all have been dying to hear who will be at this year's Comic Con. I have some good news for all the Twilight and Supernatural fans out there. Although guest lists haven't been confirmed yet, both camps will be present for panels, which is no surprise. Other Comic Con essentials confirmed are Chuck, Lost, Fringe, True Blood, Smallville, Vampire Diaries, and the new Peter Jackson flick District 9.

More Talk About that 'Bones' Finale Romp

May 28, 2009

Some weeks after the finale non-sex on the procedural Bones (and more than a week after the announcement of the two-year renewal), there is still talk and debate among Bones fans on the much-hyped about finale and the eve more much-hyped about Bones-Booth romp - primarily because while Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) got busy, none of it seemed to matter in the overall storyline (or does it?) since it's either Brennan's new book or Booth's coma-induced hallucinations, or both. It's safe to say, however, that some Bones fans were disappointed.

"It probably strengthened our friendship, even though this kind of thing can probably ruin a friendship," Deschanel said in an interview prior to the finale.  "Honestly, he was such a sweet guy. He was more supportive and concerned for me before we started filming than I would be. He had meetings about it. He's like, "I don't want anyone around." He practically kicked out everyone -- even the people who had to be there filming! And it's a fairly tame scene. He was so protective of me; it was very sweet, actually. He wanted to make sure I felt comfortable. Of course, he also made jokes."

FOX Fall Schedule: 'Dollhouse' Renewed, 'So You Think You Can Dance' Season 6

May 18, 2009

Today FOX officially announced its schedule for the 2009-2010 TV season, and some of the changes are huge.  Aside from the great news that Dollhouse will be coming back for a second season, the other big story is that So You Think You Can Dance, which premieres its fifth season this Thursday, will air in the Fall as well for an immediate sixth season.

The So You Think You Can Dance move is unusual, but helps to balance out the schedule since FOX has American Idol in the Spring.  It also gives FOX the chance to do direct competition with Dancing with the Stars, a show that in recent seasons has taken several professional from former SYTYCD contestants.

'Bones' Renewal Announced Via Twitter

May 17, 2009

If this is any indication, it seems as if the days of big press conferences and announcements are over, as everybody - including network bigwigs - are opting to make big revelations via Twitter.  Fox and sister studio 20th Century Fox TV reportedly sealed a two-year renewal for procedural Bones, but it was executive producer Hart Hanson who revealed the news via an at most 140-character Tweet.

"Just got a call from Bones Fox exec James ('Don't call me Jimmy") Oh with an official unofficial pickup,"  Hanson reveals to his Twitter followers Saturday morning. "Bones is back for Season V!"

Deschanel: Good to Have Zack Back on 'Bones'

May 15, 2009

While clearly, there was a lot of things going on with the Bones finale.  Apart from the Bones-Booth romp, Stewie, and Motley Crue, however, there was also the much-anticipated return of Zack, played by Eric Millegan, who was replaced in season 4 after he received his doctorate in forensic anthropology in the sophomore season.  As for Emily Deschanel, who plays the titular character on the Fox procedural, having Zack back on the Bones set was "wonderful."

"I enjoy his company so much.  I became friends with him over the years, like I have with most of the cast, and it was really hard to not have him around all the time.  But that said, when he came back for the finale, it was as if no time had passed.  He just walked in, and it was great to act with him again and hang out with him on set. It was a breath of fresh air."

Bones: Preview of Finale "The End In The Beginning"

May 14, 2009

There is a lot at stake on the season 4 finale of Bones - "The End in the Beginning" - tonight.  First on the list is the ongoing matter of Bones (Emily Deschanel) finding a suitable baby daddy, and Booth (David Boreanaz) pondering on the task at hand.   Meanwhile, a dead body is found at a club called The Lab, and the team is called to do some unexpected and unusual things that have to do with the club.  Bones' ex-assistant and now pro forensic anthropologist Zack Addy (Eric Millegan) is a suspect in this episode, which will also see the return of Brennan's father Max Keenan (guest star Ryan O'Neal).

If we'd remember, the last time we saw Booth, he was having visions of notoriously sexually ambiguous baby Stewie before being wheeled to surgery.  You see Brennan popped the question of having a baby, and Booth could hardly be blamed for the hallucinations, partly, we like to think, because he doesn't want to just have a baby but something more.
