This Wednesday, a new winner of Project Runway will be crowned. Mentor Tim Gunn called the finalists “the stiffest competition we’ve ever had”. At New York Fashion Week, Rami Kashou, Jillian Lewis and Christian Siriano showed off their collections for the judges. Heidi Klum, Michael Kors, Nina Garcia, and special guest judge Victoria Beckham had the final say. Only one of them will win the grand prize of $100,000, an Elle magazine editorial spread, a 2008 Saturn Astra and the opportunity to sell a fashion line on the Bluefly.com website. As we prepare to find out who reigned supreme, let’s take a look back at the best and worst moments of the final three.

Rami’s Best

In the first episode, the designers were asked to create a garment which best reflected who they were as a designer.  Of course, Rami decided to drape but it was the very thing that grabbed the judges and kept them holding on all season.  This is Rami’s work at its finest.

Rami’s Worst

I totally get that this was out of Rami’s comfort zone but I’ll still never forgive him for that color choice.  It looked like a trasy version of Dukes of Hazzard – if that’s even possible.

Jillian’s Best

All season long, Jillian has always been the one to buckle under pressure in the design room and finish at the last second.  Yet, time and time again, she turned out amazing designs like this one from the “EyeCandy” episode.  Her dress was made of all Twizzlers and put her on the fast track to the finale.  From this point, she went on to place in the top group in 4 of the next 6 challenges.

Jillian’s Worst

I cringe every time I look at this denim disaster.  The week before, she and Victorya had constructed a very successful jacket but this one was just all wrong.  The two tones, the sequins, the strange collar – it’s all wrong.  She’s very lucky that she received another chance to stay in the competition and redeem herself … which she did.

Christian’s Best

Okay, I know that he constructed this with Chris but I think everything Christian does is pretty amazing.  This, for me, was the standout design of the season – one that I’ll talk about for seasons to come.  The detail, the work, the mounds of fabric.  It’s fashionable, artistic, and sums up everything I love about this show!

Christian’s Worst

Christian definitely got a raw deal with his model in the “What A Girl Wants” episode.  She was pushy, arrogant, and difficult.  Still, everything about Christian’s design from the color choice to the cut was just awful.  He may have deserved to go home in this episode but the judges saw that he had more to show and thank God!  He is my pick to win this season, deservedly so.  Just name him the winner and I’ll forget this outfit ever happened.

It’s time for the judges to make a final decision and name their winner!  The second half of the Project Runway finale airs this Wednesday at 10pm ET on Bravo.
