Tonight’s episode of The Girls Next Door will feature two prominent figures from the world of sports.  Both will be at hand to help and share their expertise with the show’s three lovely ladies when they hit the beach and throw a party.

Professional surfer Kelly Slater and Olympic gold-medalist swimmer Amanda Beard will be gracing The Girls Next Door tonight.  For those who are unfamiliar with the athletes, Kelly Slater is a nine-time world surfing champion, while Amanda Beard has represented the United States in several international sports competitions, including the World Aquatics Championships and World Swimming Championships.

Slater will be present to give the girls some surfing tips, while Beard will be busy giving Hugh Hefner’s no.1 girlfriend Holly Madison some much-needed swimming lessons.

The trip to the beach means some definite showing of skin from the ladies of The Girls Next Door, which isn’t something new to them, considering all three have graced the pages of Playboy magazine.  In fact, the blonde beauties are appearing on the cover for the third time for the magazine’s March issue.

“It kinda happened by accident,” Hefner told the Associated Press.  “It was not the original plan.  I knew we were overdue for a cover featuring the girls.  For our annual sexiest celebrities list, we always get votes from readers on the Internet of who should be on the top of the list.  Lo and behold, as the votes were coming in, we found the girls moving up higher and higher on the list.”

Madison, along with her show co-stars Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt, are featured together in three different covers for the “25 Sexiest Celebrities” issue.  Celebrities who made it into the list include Jennifer Love Hewitt (Ghost Whisperer), Alicia Keys, Cameron Diaz, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears.  The top three spots in terms of online votes went to Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Alba (Dark Angel), with Hefner’s three celebrity girlfriends taking fourth place.

“Yes, there was some favoritism involved,” Hefner joked.  “I know them personally.”
