In this week’s Bachelor roundup, we give updates on Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried’s relationship while revealing Sean Lowe‘s pick for The Bachelor. We also get details on

Gia Allemand’s funeral. Read on to find out more.

Gia Allemand Laid to Rest

According to the New York Daily News, Gia Allemand, the 29-year-old Bachelor season 14 contestant who hanged herself earlier this month, was laid to rest on Thursday. The funeral was took place at Trinity Grace Church in Manhattan, where friends and family mourned her.

Donna Micheletti, Gia’s mom whom she left everything to according to her suicide note, released a statement regarding her plans to eventually talk about her daughter’s tragic death with the media. Meanwhile, Gia’s boyfriend, NBA player Ryan Anderson said he misses his girlfriend. “Every second of everyday, I miss you Petrie. I feel lost without you but find strength knowing that you are in Heaven. Rest in peace my love,” Anderson tweeted a day after the funeral.

Sean Lowe Picks Jef Holm

The Bachelor has already named Juan Pablo Galavis as its next love searcher but if it was up to former Bachelor star Sean Lowe, he would have picked Jef Holm, his former rival on The Bachelorette.

“He’s funny, articulate, different and already has a large fan base,” Sean tells OK! about Jef, who won the heart of Emily Maynard on The Bachelorette though the couple later broke up. “I think the franchise needs a polarizing guy like Jef for a bounce back.”

Sean, however, has a few words of advice for incoming Bachelor Juan Pablo. “Be yourself,” he said. “Forget about the cameras and the exotic dates and have fun with the woman [or women] you’re with.”

As for Sean and fiance Catherine Guidici, it sounds like wedding bells are soon in the horizon for the Bachelor couple despite not being “ready to release a date.”

“We’ve been talking about it a lot more so I imagine an announcement will be made sometime in the near future,” Sean told People. “We’ve said L.A. from the beginning, but now there’s possibly another place in the mix.

“Right now we’re just doing things like, ‘What is the guest list going to look like?’ We haven’t discussed some of the finer details, but we’re discussing some of the broader details,” added Sean, who also says that the wedding will most likely happen in or before Spring 2014.

Desiree Hartsock Deny Split Rumors

Every couple on The Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise has their share of gossip after the cameras stops rolling and Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried are no exception. The pair got engaged on The Bachelorette season 9 finale on August 5 but In Touch is already reporting that “it’s over.”

“Chris seemed totally disinterested [in Des]. There was zero affection between them,” a source reported of the couple.

Des quickly denied the rumors by tweeting, “Wow! Crazy what can be made up.  New In Touch Cover: Claim #Bachelorette@DesHartsock + @ChrisRSiegfried Split.”
