The multi-talented Nikki Cox expressed an interest in show business at an early age, making her debut dancing in the feature film Mac and Me. She was born on June 2, 1978 in Los Angeles, California, beginning her career dancing ballet on several productions and TV specials.

Making her first television appearance at the age of 10 on Mama’s Family, Nikki Cox had her breakthrough on the small screen came when she starred as Tiffany Malloy on Unhappily Ever After. During the late 1980s, she appeared on shows like Star Trek: The Next Generation and the TV film The Ryan White Story. In 1991, she accepted a small role in Murphy Brown and appeared on Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
