Ever Carradine and Valerie Cruz are both heading to cable. Carradine has signed on to play a recurring role on the SciFi Channel’s Eureka, while Cruz is all set for Showtime's dark thriller series Dexter.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Carradine is set to play Lexi, the free-spirited sister of Sheriff Carter (Colin Ferguson) on Eureka, which returns with new episodes on July 29. She will be appearing in at least eight episodes of the upcoming season.

The Sci Fi Channel has announced its summer schedule, which includes some reality shows and some science fiction hits. On the reality front, viewers can expect all-new episodes of Ghost Hunters, as well as the return of Scare Tactics, which is hosted by comedian Tracy Morgan (30 Rock). Additionally, fans can look forward to an action-packed fifth season of Stargate Atlantis and the record-breaking hit series Eureka, which returns for season 3.
When Stargate Atlantis returns on July 11, the team of intrepid explorers will continue to face the risks and uncertainties from within the vast Pegasus Galaxy. The series, which stars Joe Flanigan, Rachel Luttrell and David Hewlett, just to name a few, will attempt to spice things up by adding a powerful new race and introducing new cast members. At the same time, the show will tap deeper into the mysteries of the Pegasus Galaxy.

One of the SCI-FI network's most popular shows, Eureka ended its second season last week. But if you haven't been watching, you can catch up on all the government secrets in this small, quirky town set in the Pacific Northwest. BuddyTV is giving away ONE copy of the first season of Eureka.

Eureka's 13-installment sophomore season culminates tonight, when the hit SCI-FI show airs its much anticipated finale at 9. The second season finale is entitled “A Night at Global Dynamics” picks up where the series left off last week with “All That Glitters.” Read on for spoilers on the season-ending episode.
Just ahead of the show's second season conclusion, SCI-FI announced last week that the series has been picked up for a third edition.

Joe Morton, well known in the SCI-FI universe as Eureka's resident reclusive genius, is reportedly in the final stages of negotiation to join a new star-studded motion picture. Should the Eureka actor eventually sign on, he will be in stellar company with some of finest contemporary character actors.
Ray Liotta of Goodfellas, Hannibal, Blow and most recently, Wild Hogs, headlines the film, La Linea, which is loosely based on the story of Arellano Felix's drug empire. The movie will also feature Esai Morales of La Bamba, NYPD Blue and Vanished along with Valerie Cruz from Nip/Tuck, Hidden Palms and The Dresden Files.

Although Ed Quinn is most known for his work on SCI-FI's Eureka, things are also looking up for him outside of the comedy-drama. With two upcoming movies and a successful series to his name, Quinn says he is ready to keep the ball rolling on his career.
“Right now I'm in a great place where I'm able to sort of generate work out here. At this point in my career, [I plan to] just keep working,” Quinn told The Star Scoop, adding that although Eureka has certainly contributed to the growth of his career, his success is also defined by his willingness to work hard and take risks.
