After only a few episodes credited to the young actress, Erin Sanders has departed from the set of The Young and the Restless.  She was best known for her geeky persona on the Emmy-nominated Zoey 101 and it seemed as though she couldn’t hold on to a more serious role on the daytime drama.  Leaving her Nickelodeon show was a big decision, and it was an even heavier choice to leave The Young and the Restless

Playing the rebellious Eden Baldwin on the said soap opera appeared to be a challenging feat for the budding actress.  Sanders probably wasn’t a good fit for the role, but it was the fans who had difficulties sympathizing with the character.  This led to the part being recast.

The newcomer to the set of The Young and the Restless is young actress Vanessa Marano.  She rose to fame portraying the character April Nardini on the popular series, Gilmore Girls.  Her acting career began when she was but seven years old, and she gathered experience by starring in numerous plays at the Stage Door Theater in California.  After appearing on several national commercials, she struck gold with roles on a variety of films.

Taking over the role of Eden, River’s defiant teenage daughter, is just another big step for Vanessa Marano’s career.  She has been keeping herself busy, working on movies like Stopping Power, Dear Lemon Lima and Man of Your Dreams

While Marano’s The Young and the Restless appearance is still some days away, the next installment of the show has already been revealed.  According to Soaps.com, the subsequent episode features a newspaper article that might transform the relationship of Ashley and Victor.  Nikki also reveals some shocking news to Victoria, regarding Katherine being involved in a car accident.

The Young and the Restless returns on CBS at 11am.
