Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, stars of
The Simple Life, are going to be at fat camp on the fifth season of the reality show.
According to the Post, the camp isn’t exactly fat camp but more of a "wellness camp focused on eating right, yoga, nutrition and exercise." The said camp is just one of the five camps the two socialites would be working on in a span of five weeks, ironically as camp counselors. September last year, Richie contradicted the rumors that she had an eating disorder. A month later, she made public that she was seeking treatment for "an inability to put on weight." As of the moment, Richie is getting treatment since she has been diagnosed with hypoglycemia and dehydration.
Hilton, a 26-year old heiress to the Hilton fortune, is also known as a singer, model and a writer. As an actress, she appeared in movies like
House of Wax, Raising Helen, Nine Lives and
The Cat in the Hat. As for Richie, 25, she is known to be the adopted daughter of singer Lionel Richie and as the on and off best friend of Hilton.
The new season is quite different from the last installment since Paris and Nicole had already rekindled their friendship and had agreed to shoot the fifth season of
The Simple Life together. "The fact that Paris and Nicole are friends again and will have to survive without their luxuries at a family run camp in the middle of nowhere takes us back full circle to the original concept that makes this show so much fun," Lisa Berger, who supervises the development of
The Simple Life, said in a statement." Paris and Nicole will be advising and training girls and their moms for beauty pageants, or providing therapy for couples seeking to strengthen their relationships."
