An arrest warrant was issued for The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Apollo Nida after he failed to turn himself in for his eight-year prison sentence yesterday, according to TMZ.

[Update]: According to TMZ, Apollo Nida has turned himself to the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Apollo was convicted of money laundering and check fraud earlier this summer. He was supposed to surrender himself before noon yesterday, but instead he went back home where he confronted his wife Phaedra Parks. And Bravo cameras were there to capture the whole incident.

“It was the most bizarre thing,” an eye-witness told Us Weekly. “Everyone thought he was already at jail this morning. He drove himself to jail and was supposed to be there by noon. So Bravo came over to her house to start filming her coming home and all that stuff. The whole Bravo crew saw it — it’s all on tape. Everyone was shocked.”

Other witnesses told TMZ that Apollo went on a tirade against her, swearing at her about missing his hearing and forcing his way into the master bedroom where he started putting their belongings into a bag.

“He went nuts because Phaedra refused to put money in his prison account while he was locked up,” TMZ wrote. “She also refused to bring their kids to prison to visit him and that caused him to lose it.”

“[He was] running around the house like a lunatic for about 20 minutes. He was psychotic, not even making sense,” an eyewitness told Us Weekly.

Fortunately for the couple’s two young sons, Ayden and Dylan, the two were at a neighbor’s house at the time of the blow-up.

The police were called to the home at the time of the incident, but Apollo had already left by the time they arrived. According to Gawker, a warrant was issued for his arrest last night.

“Phaedra is now putting all of her energy into ensuring the well-being of her two children and making decisions that are in their best interests,” her publicist told CNN in a statement yesterday. “This situation has put a tremendous strain on Phaedra and her family, and she is working hard to bring back a sense of normalcy to everyone’s lives.”
