Fans of
The Big Bang Theory have something to look forward next week.
Michael Trucco, whose latest TV efforts consists of a guest stint on
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as a man who is suspected of slipping women drug that causes them to forget everything that happens to them, and his current role as Samuel Anders on
Battlestar Galactica, is slated to appear on Monday's episode entitled "The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis," in which Leonard's handsome colleague starts dating Penny (
Kaley Cuoco).
According to
Entertainment Weekly, the 38-year-old actor will play Leonard's (
Johnny Galecki) partner on a project and one of the youngest MacArthur Genius Grant winners ever. "The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis," which is the 11th installment of
The Big Bang Theory's sophomore season, will also find Leonard, who is stressed for the holidays, and his friends as they get tormented by Sheldon's (
Jim Parsons) obsession with gift-giving etiquette.
Aside from the aforementioned shows, Michael Trucco is also known for his recurring roles on
One Tree Hill as Cooper Lee,
Pensacola: Wings of Gold as Lt.Tucker “Spoon” Henry, and on
Beverly Hills 90210 as Josh Hunter.
Following his guest stint on
The Big Bang Theory, Michael Trucco will be gracing a TV feature called
Man of Your Dreams, which is directed by Jason Ensler (
Kath and Kim, Psych, Chuck). In the comedy, which also stars Vanessa Marano and Constance Zimmer, he'll be portraying a womanizer who uses his experience to help women with romance troubles.
In addition, Trucco will be reprising his role as Samuel Anders in
Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, the TV movie that is expected to air in June 2009. Directed by
Edward James Olmos, who plays Commander William Adama, the storyline revolves around the events from the perspective of two Cylon agents, beginning before the attack on the 12 colonies.
