I think the So You Think You Can Dance gods are listening to me, because another one of my favorite dancers will be an All-Star next week.

But, again, I shouldn’t be too excited. For one, we’ve got only two weeks left before the season ends. But this week’s shows were so good (except for the eliminations) I can’t help but feel pretty good for next week. More All-Stars! The Prince of Buccness! Pia freaking Toscano!

Okay, you know I’m not exactly a Pia fan… but that’s a different topic altogether. Anyway, here’s what to expect on SYTYCD next week.

The Judges

Lil C returns next week as a guest judge, and he’ll be joined by actress Christina Applegate. Yep, she’s Kelly Bundy in Married… with Children, and the Samantha in Samantha Who? She’s also starring with Will Arnett in the upcoming NBC comedy Up All Night.

She also had a successful stage career, notably scoring a Tony nomination for the recent revival of the Broadway musical Sweet Charity. And she also dances — she was one of the original members of the Pussycat Dolls, way back in the early 1990s, when it was mostly a modern burlesque troupe as opposed to the pop stars we know them now? She performed alongside co-members Christina Aguilera and Carmen Electra.

The All-Stars

We’ve two returning All-Stars this week: Pasha Kovalev (that tireless man!) and Twitch Boss. Also, Jaimie Goodwin will finally be on the SYTYCD stage after not making it last week: she explained her absence on Twitter, saying she was still busy shooting Rock of Ages (Adam Shankman’s latest project) on Twitter. The three new All-Stars are as follows:

Janette Manrara (season 5)

Janette’s most memorable routines were with her partner, fellow All-Star Brandon Bryant: she was the grace to his strength, as best seen in their tango routine here, and their disco routine below.

Ellenore Scott (season 6)

Ahh, Ellenore, she with the crazy beeping language and the similarly odd air around her. She finished fourth in season 6, and is best known for that season’s more offbeat routines, like Travis Wall’s Mr. and Mrs. Smith one:

Kent Boyd (season 7)

The kid from Wapakoneta (tongue twister, quick!) finished his season in second place (only behind Lauren Froderman) and was known for both his dancing and his beyond-bubbly personality — which he can turn off in some routines like the Emmy-nominated “Sundrenched World” routine with Allison Holker. (No embeds. I know.)

The Performer

Next week’s guest performer is American Idol finalist Pia Toscano, who sings her latest single, “This Time”. After being (shockingly) eliminated during Top 9 week this season, she went on to perform on Dancing with the Stars and PBS’ recent Memorial Day concert. And all because she went from easily-forgotten to not-so-easily-forgotten with her soaring performance during the Idol semifinals. At least she isn’t singing this song again:

Who are you most excited to see on SYTYCD next week?
