Smallville‘s seventh season has been jam packed with action and exciting appearances from characters that we hadn’t seen in quite some time. Welcome back, Green Arrow and Brainiac!  On top of that, it’s also introduced us to great new characters like Supergirl (Laura Vandervoort) and Black Canary.  The final three pre-strike episodes of the season promise to bring back more long lost characters while also delving deeply into the complex mythology that Smallville fans can’t get enough of.  Read on for some tantalizing spoilers of what’s to come in the next few episodes.

Episode 7.13 – “Hero” – Airing 3/13/08

The CW’s official description of the episode reads, “Kara and Jimmy attend a One Republic concert and one of the roadies turns out to be former Smallville resident Pete Ross.  Pete unwittingly chews some kryptonite-laced gum and develops super powers.  Clark (Tom Welling) and Chloe are thrilled to meet up with their old friend but warn him against using his powers in public.  However, Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) discovers Pete’s powers and blackmails him into helping break into a Lionel’s safe by threatening to reveal Chloe is a meteor freak.”

If you’re wondering what Pete’s newfound powers will consist of, it looks like he’ll be stealing a page from Mr. Fantastic’s playbook and gaining an outrageous stretching ability.  He’s also not going to like many of the changes that have happened in the town, including the fact that so many people know Clark’s secret.

Episode 7.14 – “Traveler” – Airing 3/20/08

The CW’s official description reads, “Lionel (John Glover) arranges to have Clark kidnapped and held in a kryptonite-lined cell at a Luthorcorp facility.  After Chloe and Lana (Kristin Kreuk) find a military electric probe at the farm, they confront Lionel, who throws suspicion onto Lex.  Chloe (Allison Mack) and Lana take Kara to the Fortress and beg Jor-El to restore her memory as she is the only one who can save Clark.”

Aaron Douglas (Battlestar Galactica) will also be guest starring in this episode as Pierce, the man tasked with kidnapping Clark.  Patricia Swann, daughter of Dr. Swann, will also appear in an attempt to help Clark.

Episode 7.15 – “Veritas” – Airing 3/27/08

This episode will be very mythology based and include a flashback that features Robert Queen, young Jason Teague, young Oliver Queen, young Patricia Swann, and Jason Teague’s father.  In the present day, Brainiac will make a return appearance and Chloe, Lex, and Lois (Erica Durance) will all take time to confront Lionel over his evil ways.
