Amy Poehler is pregnant with her second child with husband Will Arnett but don’t expect her alter ego Leslie Knope to become pregnant anytime soon. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Poehler’s pregnancy will not be written into Parks and Recreation. NBC, however, is willing to work around the pregnancy, similar to what they did during the birth of Poehler’s first child in the fall of 2008.

As an alternative, the network will move up the production date for the third season of Parks and Recreation shortly after the second season wraps up in order to stock up on episodes before Poehler takes her maternity leave. Although no due date has been disclosed officially, sources are reporting that the baby is due in the summer or early fall. As expected, Parks and Recreation will return with new episodes this fall.

Meanwhile, Amy Poehler isn’t the only one making headlines these days for being pregnant. Danica McKellar, the actress who became a household name for playing Winnie Cooper on The Wonder Years, has confirmed to People magazine that she’s expecting her first child with husband Mike Verta.

“I’m nearing the end of my first trimester and I’m so excited – I’ve been bursting to tell people,” she said.

“I wanted to put off the [pregnancy] test because I didn’t want any distractions,” the Wonder Years actress-turned-mathematician revealed. “That only lasted a day – I couldn’t stop thinking about it and I caved! You can’t try to put that off. When you do take the home pregnancy test, it doesn’t quite seem real. But when you see the baby and the heartbeat on the ultrasound, it’s so incredible. Me and Mike looked at each other and we could not stop the tears. We are so happy.”
