Last week, Glee pitted Katy Perry and Lady Gaga against each other, which is ridiculous — can’t we like both at the same time instead of only going with one? But the ridiculousness will continue this week when twerking becomes a focus of the episode. Yes, I said twerking. And of course that means we’ll be adding some Miley Cyrus into the mix.

FOX has released all five songs featured in Thursday’s episode, “The End of Twerk” (and yes, we all hope this will be the last we hear of twerking, though I’m not getting my hopes up): “You Are Woman, I Am Man” from Funny Girl, Beyonce’s “If I Were a Boy,” Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines,” Miley Cyrus‘ “Wrecking Ball” and the Royal Concept’s “On Our Way.”

Not only do we get some Miley, we also get Robin Thicke. Now, it’ll be really interesting to see how they pull off the “Blurred Lines” performance on-screen because besides a few of the students singing it, Will is also in on the performance. Considering the controversy surrounding this song, it seems odd, maybe even inappropriate, for Mr. Schue to be joining in. But this is Glee, after all, the show that’s not afraid of being inappropriate at times. (Speaking of which, if you haven’t voted yet, check out our “Blurred Lines” battle between The X Factor and The Voice — who sang it better?)

Marley will be the one who takes on “Wrecking Ball,” which should also be interesting to watch. Last week, she was uncomfortable with taking things further with Jake. But now that he’s hooking up with Bree, is she doing the Miley number to try and change up her image to impress Jake?

Speaking of Bree, she’s one of the featured singers on “Blurred Lines” — will she be joining the Glee club? Considering Quinn, Santana and Kitty, all cheerleaders, did just that, it wouldn’t surprise me if Bree did as well.

And Ioan Gruffudd makes a return appearance as Paolo, who’s a part of the Funny Girl production.

“You Are Woman, I Am Man” — Rachel & Paolo (Ioan Gruffudd)

“If I Were a Boy” — Unique

“Blurred Lines” — Jake, Bree, Kitty, Artie & Will

“Wrecking Ball” — Marley

“On Our Way” — New Directions

Which of these covers is your favorite? What are your thoughts on Glee performing “Blurred Lines” and “Wrecking Ball”? And why do you think Will is featured on the Robin Thicke tune?

Glee airs Thursdays at 9pm on FOX.
