Brennan and Booth have yet another case to solve in “The Wannabe in the Weeds,” the last episode of
Bones completed before the writers' strike. The 12th installment of season 3 is scheduled to air on May 12. But for those who can't wait, read on for more spoilers.
“The Wannabe in the Weeds” finds Brennan, Booth, and Cam as they go to a grassy location where they find the skeleton of singer wannabe Tommy Sour. The investigation eventually leads them to the Checker Box Restaurant, where Tommy took part in "open mic" nights. During Tommy's last performance, the competition was fierce, especially since talent scouts were in the audience.
A list of suspects sprout from the investigation, including Tommy's neighbor, the people who took part in the “open mic” event and Booth's stalker, Pam Nuna, who flirts with him, slightly changes her appearances for him, claims she is a hockey fan, buys him socks and asks him flat out if he's dating the “toothpick,” also known as Brennan.
This
Bones episode is deemed highly anticipated by fans given that several
American Idol participants are expected to grace the crime drama. According to
American Idol season 6 contestant
Brandon Rogers, he'll be featured on the same episode that season 5 finalist
Ace Young will be in.
“The Wannabe in the Weeds” is also expected to end with a cliffhanger that has to do with someone's suffering physically and is going to be more emotionally difficult for Brannan than for Booth.
