To prepare ourselves for the crazy, perhaps catastrophic premiere of America’s Next Top Model: All Stars, let’s familiarize ourselves with the contestants. We know a lot about these ladies from their time on the show, but what have they accomplished since then? What mysterious mystical force convinced them to take another shot at the much-coveted and often laughed-at title? Was it Tyra?

Some of these questions will be answered throughout this week, when we take a look back at the lives of these All-Star contestants. We’ll also highlight a few of their best moments on America’s Next Top Model.

Ready your choirs of angels, because we’re going to know more about Shannon Stewart next.

Original Cycle: Cycle 1, 2003

Placed: 2nd

Age: 27

Has Modeled For: Richard Tyler, Elle Girl, Gustavo Arango, Olympus Fashion Week, Sprite Street Couture, Teen Vogue, Six Degrees Magazine, Alice Dobson, Ford Fusion, Nuj Novakhett, Alice and Olivia

During the first Cycle of America’s Next Top Model, Shannon got the attention of the judges for her very “commercial” look. She performed well throughout, despite tensions in the house caused by differences in religious faith.

Shannon even refused to take part in a nude photo shoot because it was against her beliefs, and fellow contestant Robin did the same. Tyra criticized them during panel for their behavior, but it was Shannon who managed to become the runner-up during her Cycle. Still, her remarkable runway walk wasn’t enough to cover up the fact that she played it safe throughout.

Since the show, Shannon signed with Major Model Management and Elite Models in Chicago. She later switched to Bleu Model Management and has modeled for numerous clients. These range from the Fashion Institute of Technology to Olympus Fashion Week.

She also took up yet another spot as runner-up. This time, it was in the Miss Ohio USA 2004 competition. She also tried out for the 2006 crown but only made it to the semi-finals.

Shannon continued to make appearances and returned to America’s Next Top Model as Top Model in Action for Cycle 11. She also tied the knot, marrying model Matthew Ratliff – also a Christian – in 2007.

Check back tomorrow as we look at another contestant from America’s Next Top Model All-Stars. And set your calendars for the show’s premiere on September 14.
