Bret Michaels didn’t end up finding love on Rock of Love or Rock of Love 2, but he hasn’t given up yet – he’s just changing venues.  VH-1 announced today that Bret Michaels will be searching for that perfect girl one more time, but with a twist – he’ll travel the country to do so.  Rock of Love Bus with Bret Michaels will premiere on VH1 in early 2009.  The format will remain similar to the first two seasons of Rock of Love, but instead of a mansion full of women, it’ll be a tour bus full of women vying for Bret’s affection.  The series will film over the course of a month-long cross country tour for Michaels, at the end of which he hopes to find that lucky lady.  Maybe the third time’s a charm.

Rock of Love 2 ended with Bret giving the final pass to Ambre Lake.  Though the two tried to make the relationship work, Bret’s hectic schedule made things impossible.  Not wanting that to happen again, Michaels is going to make sure that the female contestants are able to endure life on the road.  Every time Michael’s tour bus stops in a new city, the women will compete in challenges directly related to the tour life of a rock star.

Jeff Olde, VH-1’s Vice President, discussed the excitement around season 3 of Rock of Love, saying, “Seasons one and two of ‘Rock of Love’ shattered ratings records and VH1 is so happy to have Bret back for another outrageous season. This time we’ll reveal Bret in his most comfortable setting — the infamous rock star tour bus.”

This means that, on top of starring in his own reality series, Michaels will have to perform on tour every night to (maybe) packed houses.  Quite a schedule.
