It’s official. Charlie Sheen has reached the point where not even his warlock powers and tiger blood can save him: as of today, the actor has been fired from Two and a Half Men.

According to a report from TMZ.com, Two and a Half Men‘s production company, Warner Bros. has issued a brief statement concerning Charlie Sheen’s involvement in the program:

“After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on ‘Two and a Half Men,’ effective immediately.”

So that seems to be it for Sheen.

Recently, the actor has become a one-man media circus, with comments increasing in both insanity and frequency as time away from the set has passed. Charlie hasn’t held back on his Two and a Half Men bosses either: in addition to frequent attacks on the show’s executive producer, Chuck Lorre, Sheen has lashed out against the studios involved in the production.

I guess they’ve finally had enough.

The TMZ article also reports that there is no word as to whether Two and a Half Men, one of the highest-rated shows on television, would continue without its star.

As for Charlie Sheen, it didn’t take long for the actor to compose a totally nutso reasoned rebuttal (also reported on TMZ.com):

“This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of their bazillions, never have to look at whatshiscock again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension.”

Does Charlie Sheen represent the greatest celebrity meltdown ever?

While this news cannot be totally shocking for anyone saner than, say, Charlie Sheen, there is still a little surprise to be felt at the unceremonious dismissal of television’s highest-paid actor. Sheen’s contract stipulates his involvement in Two and a Half Men for additional seasons, so it’s likely that Warner Bros. will be paying a lot for the chance to be rid of their notorious star.

Honestly though, any price may be a bargain for the studio at this point.

Do you think Warner Bros. made a good decision in firing Charlie Sheen? How do you think Charlie will react to this latest troll attack? Is this going to calm the actor, or are we in for a whole new level of crazy? Please leave your comments and opinions below!
