For 20 seasons The Amazing Race has awarded its winning team with a million dollar prize. But for season 21, that’s all about to change.

The Amazing Race 21 will be giving out TWO million dollars to the winning team. Either CBS is trying to do its own version of a stimulus package to kick start the U.S. economy, or the fact that The X Factor is giving away five million dollars means everyone else has to up the ante.

Whatever the reason, season 21 of The Amazing Race will feature nine countries, 25,000 and plenty of terrifying stunts and Phil Keoghan smirks. Check out the first promo for the new season.

The Amazing Race 21 premieres Sunday, September 30 at 8pm on CBS.
