This week was the premiere of season 6 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Besides dealing with the drama of a few new cast members, the cameras are documenting Teresa Giudice and her family as they deal with legal issues that could send both Teresa and her husband, Joe, to jail.

“It has been a difficult year for my family, and we still have difficult things ahead,” Teresa wrote on her Bravo blog. “It is a lot of stress and that stress has taken a toll on me and my family, but we will get through it with love and with God’s help.”

Teresa also gets by with a little help from her friends, taking advice and support where she can get it.

“And I guess like Dina said, if life was perfect, we’d get bored and we wouldn’t grow. I’m definitely not bored, but hopefully growing,” she wrote. ” I’m so blessed for the amount of love and support I’ve been given by everyone around me, including all of you. It means the world to me. Thank you so-so-SO much.”

She also mentioned how it was bittersweet watching her father-in-law, Franco Giudice, being so loving in a touching family moment. He passed away unexpectedly last month.

“He was a great, great man, a wonderful father and grandfather and we miss him terribly. He was only 64 and was taken from us far too soon.”

On a brighter note, it is nice to see Teresa getting along with her sister-in-law and co-star, Melissa Gorga. The two have been feuding for the last three seasons.

“It was hard to watch footage from last season and be reminded of the ugliness with my brother and sister-in-law, but it was just one small part of our lives and thankfully it’s behind us. I think you can see that my brother Joey and Melissa and Joe and I are all in a really good place now, where we should be. Families have ups and downs, we all fight about stupid things, but at the end of the day, we’re blood, and we love each other and we always will.”

Melissa agrees that it’s better for everyone when they are all getting along. Especially when it comes to their kids.

“Teresa is remaining strong through this traumatic time,” Melissa wrote on her Bravo blog. “It breaks my heart to watch this episode and to see Gia cry. She is a brave little girl who wears her heart on her sleeve. Joe and I love her so much and tell her every time we see her. Our family went through ups and downs like every family does, but at the end of the day, blood is thicker than water. We love each other and always will.”

Teresa and Joe pleaded guilty to fraud in March. Their sentencing was pushed back until September in light of the death of Joe’s father.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Sundays at 8pm on Bravo.
