Prison Break fans are counting the days until season 3 premieres next month on FOX.  But, as was the case in season 2, one question is on everybody’s mind: Can the show keep up its momentum and have longevity?  Dominic Purcell (Lincoln) says yes.  In an interview with TVGuide, he puts our minds at ease.  “I’ve seen some cut-together stuff and it’s really impressive,” he said. When you see it, you’ll understand what I’m saying.”

** SPOILER ALERT **

The show will get back to its roots this season with Michael, Mahone, Bellick, and T-Bag stuck in Sona, a South American prison.  According to E! Online, Michael will start planning his escape with another inmate by episode five.  Meanwhile, Lincoln, as a free man, will spend his time trying to track down Sara.  She will somehow end up with LJ, at the hands of a mysterious man

Back in Sona, Mahone will have to wait a full year for his trial and he’ll have to do that in Sona and without his little pills.  This spells trouble for him as he goes through serious withdrawal.  Bellick will go from being top dog at Fox River to the bottom of the food chain in Sona.  He makes a friend while there but he can’t help him gain status as he’s at the bottom as well.

Purcell also shared with TV Guide that his character will be getting a little more attention this season.  “It’s kind of been described as Lincoln in his own private little spy story,” he said.  Lincoln will also get a love interest this season.  “And it’s about time,” he added. “Lincoln needs to get laid.”

The latest installment of Prison Break debuts Monday, September 17, followed by the series premiere of the new show K-Ville.  Fans wanting to refresh their memory before season three kicks off can pick up the season 2 DVD on September 4 when it hits stores nationwide.
