Every day, the cast of Grey’s Anatomy put on their scrubs, memorize their medical jargon, and head to the Seattle Grace set to play doctor.  They treat patients, perform surgery, and work in the pit or the free clinic.  The tables were turned this week when two Grey’s actors sought out medical treatment of their own.  One actress announced that a special delivery was on the way while one actor voluntarily admitted himself to a psych ward.  It seems each cast member is finding different ways to pass the time during the ongoing WGA strike.  Read on for medical updates on two Grey’s Anatomy cast members.

Kali Rocha (Dr. Sydney Heron) will be seeing lots of real doctors in the coming months.  The actress announced that she and her husband are expecting their first child.  The actress, who is 3 months pregnant, told CelebrityBabies.com, “I keep hearing this theory that if you look very rounded in the face and you [get sick] a lot, it’s a girl. I have a round face all the time, but I didn’t [get sick] once. The theory also says that if you are feeling good and have a square jaw, it’s a boy. So I have no idea. Maybe I have a hermaphrodite.”

Today, BuddyTV learned that this week, Justin Chambers (Dr. Alex Karev) voluntarily checked himself into the psych ward at the UCLA medical center  The UCLA Medical Center is the same place that Britney Spears was committed last night after her psychiatrist felt she was a danger to herself and others.  Chambers, on the other hand, was admitted because he was “exhausted and suffers from a sleeping disorder,” according to TMZ.  He is married and the father of five children.  Chambers checked out yesterday and did not encounter Spears during his stay.
