The romance between Dr. Callie Torres and Dr. Erica Hahn certainly has Grey’s Anatomy fans talking this season. Neither has even been in a relationship with a woman before and on last week’s episode, we saw just how awkward and uncomfortable it can be when you charge ahead into new territory. Callie, having taken Bailey’s advice, lets Erica know that there has to be rules – and safety words. Erica was relieved that she wasn’t the only one freaking out and the two headed out on their first official date. Things won’t stay smooth between these two for too much longer as a new bisexual intern, played by Melissa George, hits Seattle Grace and stirs things up.

Melissa George will make her first appearance on the November 13th episode “The Ties That Bind” and her character’s name is Sadie. Joining the staff at Seattle Grace is no coincidence for Sadie, as she is one of Meredith’s oldest friends. How these two first met remains unclear but what is clear is that Meredith’s friends won’t exactly welcome Sadie with open arms. It’s a tight knit group as Seattle Grace and everyone has claimed their own person. With Sadie feeling the chilly vibe in the air, she’ll most likely turn to either Callie or Erica, who both know how it feels to be an outsider. We’ll have to wait and see which one she ends up hooking up with, though.

Grey’s Anatomy fans have been complaining that actresses Sara Ramirez and Brooke Smith have no chemistry together so perhaps Melissa George has been added to spice things up. Considering Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello described Sadie as “an intern with an open mind towards sexuality”, we take it she’ll be looking for a good man every now and then. I feel Alex and Mark practically ready to fight each other to hit that!
